Kevin is a native North Carolinian, born in Brevard in 1959. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for both his undergraduate degrees (B.S. in Business Administration in 1982) and his law degree (J.D., 1988). In between studies at UNC-CH, Kevin worked for the former Peoples Bank (now part of Centura) in Rocky Mount and Raleigh, where he managed a branch on Highway 70.
Kevin has always enjoyed the practice of law in this state, but he did practice for five (5) years in New York City and Long Island, New York. That experience, in some stressful and high profile locations, has helped create the "edge" that has so often helped Kevin's clients in their "day in court". In addition to civil and criminal actions in New York, Kevin also practiced in real estate, collections and estates.
Upon returning to North Carolina ten years ago, Kevin worked as a partner with Bailey & Stewman, a General Practice firm in Cary and as a CFO and General Counsel for a not-for-profit company. Kevin continued to practice real estate, an area of expertise when he practiced in New York. In June of 2003, Kevin decided to re-open his Law Office and once again work full time as a private attorney. He decided to focus his practice in the areas of real estate and small business counseling.
Most people will, at some point, need the services that Kevin offers. When those services are required, the client will want a caring, professional and experienced attorney. They will want someone they can call, talk to and leave that conversation feeing more educated and informed about the process. That is what Kevin does; he makes the process understandable and, not surprisingly, most clients find Kevin's closings or consultations enjoyable. He would love to help you, or your friends or family, if you or they need his services. For more information click here.
